The Baratza Virtuoso Preciso coffee grinder has many innovative and versatile features built in. Some of these features that set it apart from the rest are:
- The Preciso features an entirely new Conical burr set that is precise and fast. Coffee throughput with these new burrs is 2.4 times faster than our other conical burr grinders. Precision 40-mm commercial-quality burrs that are manufactured in Italy, the Virtuoso Preciso's burrs are of the same material and durability as the industry's highest-quality line of commercial conical burr coffee grinders. The burrs rotate slower than those of most grinders (450 rpm) minimizing the heat in the coffee beans, to preserve your coffe bean flavor. - Innovative burr calibration system; the Preciso adds extra precision and control to the great basic features of the Virtuoso. It retains the 40 grind adjustment steps of the basic Virtuoso, but a second micro adjustment lever further divides each of the 40 steps into 11 distinct settings. Smaller steps means you have more control over your espresso grind, enabling you to pull that perfect shot. Whether in commercial, semi-professional or personal applications, exact grind is imperative to a high-quality extraction and, therefore, a better cup of coffee!

- Efficient motor; the Virtuoso houses a powerful 480 watt DC motor that produces more than four times the output of a standard AC motor found in most grinders in this class. The motor spins at less than one-third the speed, making it much quieter and lower in pitch. Extremely well-made, the motor is built to handle long-duty cycles. In addition, it possesses a thermal safety device that protects the motor from overheating and automatically resets once the motor cools.

Baratza’s innovative PortaHolder is included with each Preciso. The PortaHolder makes grinding for espresso a little easier and helps make clean up a snap.

Some other excellent design features of the Virtuoso Preciso are:

A coffee chute that points downward into the 5 oz. coffee collection bin and not across like other designs. This offers less chance for clogging and the ability to dispense directly into the filter basket of your espresso machine.

It has an 8 ounce coffee bean hopper that rotates easily for the 40 selectable grind settings from Turkish to French press.

The burrs are easily removable for quick cleaning and there is a sixty second timer knob with segmented graphics for easily repeatable grind times.

A nice added feature is a front mounted pulse button, which is perfect for grinding directly into the brewing filter. This is a convenient feature if you wish to grind a small amount of coffee for espresso.

It comes with a 1 year parts and labor warranty with a no cost replacement feature from Baratza, the American manufacturer.
